Surface Preparation: Clean surface using pH-neutral cleaner or power-wash, rinse and allow to dry thoroughly before application. Ideally the surface should have been dry for a few days to ensure there is no moisture trapped underneath before sealing. For best adhesion, the surface can be lightly sanded with a soft grit sandpaper or etched using SlipDoctors Maintain Grip.
If working with previously sealed surfaces any chipping or flaking should be sanded or scuffed to a sound surface. If the sealed surface is sound, lightly sand with a soft grit sandpaper to promote adhesion. Scrub and clean surface with pH-neutral cleaner. Rinse thoroughly and allow to dry before application. GripX cannot be applied over wood, synthetic, or painted surfaces.
TEST – GripX should be tested on a small inconspicuous area before full application
Vigorously shake the bottle for 2 to 3 minutes. Pour the anti-slip coating into a container and mix well to ensure there is no clumping of the texture. GripX anti-slip coating needs to be rolled on to the surface using a high-quality lint free paint roller and a applied as thin uniform coatings. Always apply 2 coats to every surface to ensure the highest level of durability. Allow the first coat to dry for 2-4 hours before applying the second coat. The second coat should be applied at a right angle to the first coat.
GripX requires 6 to 12 hours to cure for light traffic and 24 hours to cure for normal traffic.
