Dura Grip anti-slip floor, decking and staircase paint is an epoxy application specially designed to create an extremely durable non-slip coating on multiple surface types. The anti-slip paint coating is easy to maintain and can be used on interior or exterior floors, stairs or boat decks.

Dura Grip non-slip paint solution is easy to apply like any standard roll-on paint and once dried has a semi-gloss finish. Not only does the anti-slip paint increase the traction of the surface, but at the same time, it is completely chemical resistant which makes it perfect for around swimming pools or in factories and warehouses containing chemical substances.

Dura Grip textured epoxy paint is perfect for use on diamond-plate metal ramps, boat decks, trailers, stairs, locker rooms, laundry rooms, wooden decking and other residential and industrial areas where non-slip protection is desired.

The focus when developing the formula for our anti-slip paint was always around quality. We tested multiple variations of elements, including the range of slip resistance and durability time achieved with each type of non-slip formula. We had many options to choose from, including water-based solutions. Still, in the end, we decided to develop a non-slip epoxy paint that not only stopped slippery surfaces but also stood the test of time even under some of the harshest weather and working conditions. What we wanted to ensure is that even if the product came at a premium production cost, you could rest assured that the anti-slip coating would achieve the right slip resistance results and not peel or fade any time soon.

Dura Grip anti-slip paint finish is completely barefoot-friendly and leaves a light grit feel giving increased grip for feet or even your beloved pet’s paws. Dura Grip anti-slip paint will take around 12 to 24 hours to dry and once completed will be water and stain resistant.

Each Dura Grip non-slip paint coating is protected by a 2-year manufacturer’s warranty.

7 to 10 sq m - coverage will vary due to surface porosity

Important:When working with raw or untreated wood please keep in mind that the surface will absorb the paint a lot more than stone surfaces and so the coverage area specified above would be decreased. We suggest priming the wood before applying Dura Grip Non-Slip Paint.

Can I use Dura Grip on an already painted floor?
Lightly sand down the surface, clean and dry for surface preparation.

How many coatings do I need to apply?
Dura Grip needs to be applied with two light coats at least two hours apart using a fresh roller on the second coat.

What kind of roller should I use?
We suggest using a cotton nap roller to ensure an even and consistent application. We do not suggest using textured rollers.

How should I apply the product?
You should gently roll on a thin coat using the cotton nap roller. To ensure an even coat move the roller lightly in a forward and backward direction. It is not recommended to apply Dura Grip as one thick coat.

Can I use Dura Grip underwater?
We do not advise that you use Dura Grip on a surface that is permanently submerged in water.

What if my floor is a bright or a dark color?
It may be necessary to do 3 coats if you are coating lighter colors of Dura Grip over flooring that has bold, bright, or dark colors.

Can I use Dura Grip on Wood?
Firstly, you would need to clean the wooden floor and then make sure that the surface is flat smooth. This includes sanding down splinters and hammering in nails and tightened exposed screws. We recommend using SlipDoctors’ Primer on wood prior to applying Dura Grip.

Will the paint chip, peel or crack over time?
Inadequate drying time, excessive moisture presence, poor surface preparation, and failure to apply two thin coats of Dura Grip will increase your chance of early coating damage.

Can Dura Grip be used on a Resin and/or Fiberglass coating?
Dura Grip can be used on Resin/Fiberglass surfaces and coatings. Surface prep includes light sanding, cleaning, and complete drying prior to application of Dura Grip. Previously coated surfaces must be cured prior to applying a topcoat of Dura Grip.

IMPORTANT: Prior to opening the product and applying always read instructions and call us if you are not sure.

Surface Preparation:

Surface Preparation varies by surface. Please download the full instructions for specific surface preparation instructions for the non-slip epoxy paint.

Application Instructions:

Step 1: For exterior applications, check weather conditions to be certain rain or dew is not imminent before the product has had the opportunity to dry fully after application.

Step 2: TEST: Dura Grip should be tested on a small inconspicuous area before full application.

Step 3: MIXING: Use paint shaker or hand stir to thoroughly mix before using. Stir occasionally during use.

Step 4: APPLICATION: Apply with a 3/8” nap roller in 1-2 coats (2 coats recommended). Using SlipDoctors 3/8” nap roller, apply Dura Grip in uniform coats applying with light even pressure. For best performance, avoid thick coats. Second coat should be applied at a right angle to the first coat.

Step 5: CLEAN UP: While Dura Grip is still wet, equipment may be cleaned with soap and water. Once dried, equipment may be cleaned with a solvent such as xylene or toluene.
