1. General Information

SlipDoctors Deck Grip outdoor & indoor anti-slip coating is a non-yellowing, water-based acrylic sealer for tiles, concrete, and other natural stone surfaces. This durable and versatile non-slip coating is easy to apply and results in a clear, semi-gloss and barefoot-friendly finish. The key features of Deck Grip anti-slip coating are that it is UV, Chlorine and Chemical resistant making it perfect for areas that get a fair amount of sun and swimming pools.

All that said Deck Grip can also be used indoors and is perfect for sealed, stained, or stamped surfaces that tend to be slippery especially when wet. Deck Grip contains an anti-slip additive that gives the final coating a barefoot-friendly texture which helps to greatly increase the surface traction. The only surface Deck Grip cannot be applied to is wood. If you require an anti-slip product for interior wood, we suggest looking at Floor Grip Anti-Slip Coating or you can consider using a non-slip floor paint which comes in multiple colours including clear

Deck Grip anti-slip coating also acts as a sealer allowing you to protect your surface and grout from water, stains, and scuff marks. Simply roll on the anti-slip coating and sealer with a paint roller and in 30-60 minutes the coating will be dry to touch and after 12 hours will be ready for foot traffic (24hrs for wheel traffic). Thanks to the advanced durability of Deck Grip the transparent anti-slip coating will last 2 years and is protected by our 2-year manufacturer’s warranty.

Protect yourself, your loved ones, colleagues, and clients using Deck Grip outdoor and indoor anti-slip coating. If you are unsure if Deck Grip is the right product for your surfaces feel free to contact us for more information.

How to Apply

2. Application

Surface preparation varies by surface, please ensure to download the Technical Data Sheet (TDS) before application.

Mixing : The quantity of SlipDoctors Deck Grip Additive to be used depends on the level of slip resistance desired (see chart below). Maximum texture is recommended for the most effective anti-slip protection. Pour desired amount of Additive into Deck Grip container and gently mix to ensure even distribution. Avoid shaking to prevent foaming. Mix occasionally during application.

Creating your ideal texture:

Light Texture = 1/3 bottle of Additive to 3.8 Litre bottle of Deck Grip

Medium Texture = 2/3 bottle of Additive to 3.8 Litre bottle of Deck Grip

Maximum Texture (Recommended) = Entire bottle of Additive to 3.8 Litre bottle of Deck Grip

Testing: Deck Grip should be tested on a small inconspicuous area before full application. Deck Grip can be rolled or sprayed; rolling is recommended. Roll: Use a paint roller to evenly coat the surface. Avoid puddling in low areas. If puddles occur, roll them out. Two thin coats are recommended rather than one thick coat.

For added protection, greater performance, and durability, we recommend applying Deck Grip in two thin coats. Allow first coat to dry for 2-4 hours before applying the second coat. The second coat should be applied at a right angle to the first coat. Clean-up: While Deck Grip is still wet, equipment may be cleaned with soap and water. Once dried, equipment may be cleaned with a solvent, such as xylene or toluene.

ImportantAll coverage mentioned is an estimated average. SlipDoctors will not be held responsible for varying porosity and absorption levels caused by each different type of surface. If you are unsure, please feel free to contact us for assistance.
